Here is a short report on the participants that traveled from Arizona to California.   This report was submitted by Gary Goltz and photos by Kelly Crawford.  It takes us from their departure in New Mexico to Santa Monica.
The things we added included a stop in Santa Fe before going to Albuquerque.  In Gallup, New Mexico we stumbled on the El Rancho Hotel, where they have a picture of Broderick Crawford and a room named after him where he stayed once.  After Arizona, Kelly and I spent a night in Laughlin, NV at Harrah's.  They parked my car in front of the place and I won $100 on a slot!  From there we proceeded to the California rendezvous point where California Highway Patrol officers met us with a new Chervrolet Impala and Volvo.

We then drove through the desert stopping at Amboy, Barstow and staying the night in Victorville.  The last day we had several photo shoots on the way to Santa Monica with local papers as well as the CHP.  Lunch was in Pasadena with Larry Wilcox (who played "John" on the hit TV series CHiPs).  Our final leg included a full CHP escort with the Santa Monica PD's 1962 Plymouth and a bunch of motorcycle officers.

Three major TV stations where on hand for coverage and we lead right up on the pier.  It was really great!
